Up-to-Date Contact Information—Why it Matters

Clear communication between the Baca Grande Water & Sanitation District (the District) and its customers is essential to protecting water resources, maintaining reliable service, and ensuring the health and safety of our community. One of the simplest—but most important—ways customers can support this effort is by keeping their contact information up to date.

At the District, we rely on accurate contact details to communicate important information to customers in a timely manner.

Why the District Needs Accurate Contact Information
Up-to-date contact information allows the District to notify customers about:
    • Billing and account-related matters, including invoices, delinquency notices, and account changes
    • System maintenance and service interruptions, both planned and emergency-related
    • Water quality notifications and regulatory updates
    • Operational issues such as leaks, freezes, or infrastructure concerns affecting a property
    • District news and policy updates that may impact property owners or tenants

When the District cannot reach a property owner or tenant, delays in communication can lead to unnecessary service disruptions, increased costs, or missed opportunities to resolve issues quickly.

Property Owner Responsibility
It is important to note that maintaining current contact information is the responsibility of the property owner. This includes updates to:
    • Mailing address
    • Email address(s)
    • Phone number(s)
    • Tenant information
If the District is not notified of changes, official communications may be sent to the wrong location or go unanswered.

Why This Matters for You
Keeping your contact information current helps protect your property and ensures that you receive time-sensitive notices. In many cases, a quick phone call or email update can prevent larger issues down the road.

How to Update Your Information
Updating your contact information is simple. Please contact the District office as soon as a change occurs. If you are unsure whether your information is current, now is a great time to check. By keeping your contact information up to date, you help the District serve you better and ensure that important messages don’t fall through the cracks.

We appreciate your cooperation and partnership.
